CARE YOUR OILY SKIN

OILY SKIN

Oily skin is characterized by shininess, pimples and blemishes.Oily skin is caused by over-active glands, which produce a substance called Asebum, a naturally healthy skin lubricant. When the skin produces too much sebum, it becomes thick and heavy in texture.
Causes of Oily Skin
Heredity
Diet
Hormone levels
Pregnancy
Birth control pills
Cosmetics you use,Humidity and hot weather

Skin Care for Oily Skin

1. Keep your skin very clean. Limit washing your face to two or three times a day. Too much washing will stimulate your skin to produce more oil.

2. Use hot water when washing your face. Hot water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm or cold water.

3. If your oily skin is scaly, you can often correct the problem by using a deep-cleaning exfoliant on alternate nights, and following the treatment with a light coating of moisturizer.

4. To cleanse oily skin, use oil-based products as they dissolve sebum effectively. Opt for oil-free moisturizers to maintain a shine-free complexion.

5. Try using a clay or mud mask.

6. The astringent can be used throughout the day to help control the excess oil that appears.

Diet you can have for Oily Skin
1. Take a diet rich in proteins but restricted in sugar, fluids and salt.

2. Take plenty of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.
3. Drink plenty of quality water to keep the skin hydrated and flush out toxins.

4. Good sources to reduce oilyness is vitamin B2 are whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly.

5. Reduce the amount of fat in your diet. Avoid pork and fried and highly seasoned foods. Consume no animal fats, or heat-processed vegetable oils.

6. Do not drink soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. Avoid sugar, chocolate, and junk food.

TIPS FOR PEDICURE

A pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet, and their nails. It basically is a manicure for the feet. The word pedicure comes from the Latin words pes, which means foot, and cura, which means care. It also means the care of the feet and toenails. A pedicure can be helpful because it can prevent nail diseases and nail disorders. Pedicure is not just limited to nails, usually dead skin of feet is rubbed off using a rough stone called pumice stone.

Some of the materials you should have before starting pedicure

Instrument Set of manicure as well as pedicure-easily available in the market, Pumice stone or dry skin buffer ,Toe separators or cotton balls/roll, Emory board
,Cuticle remover ,Orangewood stick ,Color nail polish ,Base coat ,Top coat ,Nail polish remover ,Quick dry spray ,Nail clippers ,Dish pan ,Cotton balls ,Towels ,Cuticle nippers, if desired ,Lotion
Procedure for pedicure
1. Thoroughly saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover and use it to remove any old polish you may have on your toenails from you last pedicure. Gently pressing the cotton ball on the nail for a moment before wiping the nail with a circular motion will make it easier to remove the polish.
2. Fill the dishpan with enough warm soapy water(anyshampoo, glycerene, also you can use activators wich are used for bleachin purposes) to cover your feet. Soak for at least 15 minutes.
Note: Whenever you are working on one foot, the other foot should be soaking in the warm water.
3. Dry your foot and apply the cuticle remover at the base of each nail. Wait one minute for the remover to soften the cuticle. Use the wedged end of the orangewood stick to push the cuticle back. If desired, carefully snip off the excess cuticle. Repeat this procedure on the other foot.
Note: If you like, you may trim your cuticles with cuticle nippers. I don't recommend this if you aren't experienced at it. Once you start trimming cuticles you have to keep doing it every time you give yourself a pedicure. You may nick yourself in the process and bleed. This will not make for a relaxing pedicure experience!
4. Using the nail clippers, cut off any nails that are too long. Length is a personal preference, but make sure the nail is shorter than the toe. Be careful not to cut the nails too short as this can cause ingrown toenails and can be quite painful. With the emery board, file the nail into a square shape.
5. Use the nail buffer to smooth any roughness or ridges on the surface of the nails.
6. Wet the pumice stone in the dishpan. Rub any areas of dry or flaking skin gently with the pumice stone. Rinse the foot and dry. You may also use skin buffing sponge instead of the pumice stone.
Note: Do not ever use a filing tool that cuts your skin or allow one to be used on your feet. Not only is it unsanitary, but you may cut too deeply, causing pain or even drawing blood.
7. Apply a generous amount of lotion to the foot, massaging it in circular motion and taking care to cover all the foot, especially the dry and flaky parts. Massage the lotion up your legs to your knees. Close your eyes and relax for 10 minutes, allowing your skin to soak in the soothing lotion.
8. Saturate a cotton ball with nail polish remover and go back over your toenails, making sure that all lotion residue is removed. This is important, since the polish will not stick to any surface that still has lotion residue on it.
9. Press the toe separators between the toes, so that each toe is not rubbing on the next.
Note: If doing a group pedicure, make sure that each person has their own pair of toe separators, for the sake of hygiene. If toe separators are not available, use cotton balls or a roll of cotton. Be very careful to keep the cotton away from the nails themselves, as cotton fibers will ruin the look of the polish.
10. Brush 1 coat of the base coat over each nail. Allow it to dry for one minute.
11. Apply 2 coats of the nail color. Allow it to dry for 5 minutes.
12. Apply the top coat. Allow it to dry for 1 minute, then spray your nails with the quick dry spray.

If possible allow a half hour for the nails to dry completely. If you don't have that much time, carefully remove the toe separators and slip your feet into open toed shoes. Be very careful that the wet nails don't touch the shoes or other toes. You may want to use the paper "sandals" that are available at beauty supply stores to preserve your polish until it is dry.

Great tips for MANICURE

1.Fill tray with warm water and sudsy liquid (the trick is to add water at just the right temperature so it will soften skin without being too hot to the touch)

2.Place one hand in tray and let it soak for several minutes

3.If you're giving someone else a manicure, you can use oil or moisturizer to massage one hand while the other one is soaking

4.Remove soaking hand and pat dry with hand towel

5.Place other hand in tray to soak for several minutes

6.While the second hand is soaking, you should carefully begin trimming cuticles that form around the edges of the nail itself (NOTE: Pay close attention to what you're doing, so you don't cut too close and end up causing skin to bleed. If you take your time and trim slowly with tiny strokes, you should be fine.)

7.If your timing is perfect, you will be finished cutting the cuticles on that hand before the first hand gets wrinkled from being in the warm water too long. (Tip: Don't try to hurry the cuticle trimming process to make your timing work. Instead try to remember to check on the soaking hand half-way through the course of cutting cuticles. If the water is cold or the hand shows hints of wrinkling skin, that's your cue to stop the soaking operation and pat hand dry with hand towel, apply some lotion and go back to the trimming procedure.)

8.When you have completed trimming cuticles on both hands, you should make sure all loose skin is removed from nail area. Begin to polish nails with clear base coat by applying a thin layer as smoothly and carefully as possible. Try to keep polish on nails only. If you accidentally apply too much or get extra polish on skin around nails, use a cotton swab dipped lightly in nail polish remover to correct your mistake.

9.After applying base coat to both hands, choose polish color and repeat previous procedure beginning with the same hand you started with last time. Follow guidelines described above to produce best results.

10.The next application will be a top coat to create a seal or protection for colored polish. Repeat previous steps to ensure success in this process. Remember less is better when it comes to nail polish. Thick layers lead to messy results.

11.You have two choices to complete this process and make your manicure last.

1. You can dry nails with a blow dryer or similar device set on slow speed at a moderate temperature. You should keep hands positioned under heat source for at least three minutes and then sit still, touch nothing, and wait for another minute or two to avoid smudges or smears that will ruin your efforts.

2. You can skip the dryer process and sit still, touch nothing and wait for at least five minutes to creating lasting results that will make your manicured nails look their best.

Beautiful Nail Art

HOW TO DO NAIL ART:
Make sure your nails are in good shape. If they aren't, check out the related wikiHows for tips to keep your nails healthy and beautiful. You don't need a manicure to start creating nail art, but you do need to make sure that your nails are clean and shaped well enough that they look even.

Choose the right products

There are a multitude of different paints and polishes available for nail art, and your choice of products is completely up to you. Experiment with a few different brands and types of polish or paint to see which you like best, and don’t forget to give acrylic craft paints a try—these work great and are a whole lot cheaper than nail paints or polish. You’ll also be able to choose from a variety of implements to help you apply your paint. You can buy professional-grade nail art kits that include all the brushes, stripers, and marbling tools you’ll need, or you can improvise. A toothpick or bobby pin, for example, can help you apply dots and swirl colors with precision, and thin-tipped detail brushes available at your local arts or hobby store can work just as well as special nail art brushes. In addition, remember that you can create art on your natural nails or on artificial tips, and the variety of artificial nails is truly dizzying. Perhaps most importantly, though, make sure you have pure acetone for quickly removing mistakes, and have a small brush and / or Q-Tips available solely for applying the acetone.
Look for ideas and techniques.

This article is a good primer, but if you have trouble coming up with ideas after a while, or if you want to get more in-depth information about techniques, consider taking a class at your local nail salon. Just a few hours with a professional teacher can advance your skills like years of practice. There are also a number of books on nail art; you may be able to find one in your local library or bookstore, but if not you buy them online. Finally, the web is a great resource, especially if you’re just looking for new ideas. There are several sites on which people post their latest creations, and you can also find a few forums frequented by beginners and pros alike.
Get your materials ready.

While nail art requires a lot of patience, you’re also constantly working against the clock when you’re creating it, since the paints and polishes dry fairly quickly. Before you begin, make sure you have everything you need ready and accessible, especially acetone for quickly removing mistakes.
Give your nails a base coat.

Before you begin your nail art you need to create your canvas. Depending on the look you’re going for, you can paint your nails a neutral color, such as clear, white, pale beige or pink, or you can paint them any other color you desire. You may also wish to divide the nail into two or three different colors. Do two coats, as it strengthens the nail and gives a better finish. Make sure your “canvas” is neat and even, and allow it to dry thoroughly before proceeding.
Create your nail art on top of the base coat.

Roll your brush or other tool in one color of paint to make sure the paint adequately and evenly covers it. If your brush has globs, excess paint, or not enough paint, you’re going to have trouble painting. Keep your art simple. There’s plenty of room for creativity—you can create pictures, abstract designs, etc. to your heart’s content—but don’t make your nails look too “busy.” Simple designs are often the most beautiful, and if you’re a beginner your chances of success are far greater the simpler your art is.
Apply a top coat.

Once all your nail art is dry, paint over it with a clear protective acrylic top coat to seal and protect your nail and your hard work.
Care for your art.

Reapply a clear top coat every two or three days to protect your art and to keep your nails looking shiny, and apply cuticle oil daily. Treat your nails with care—wear gloves when gardening or doing other “doing work,” and exercise caution when performing tasks, such as opening soda cans, that may damage your nails.

Hair care Tips

Hair Beauty tipsHere are some beauty tips for your hair, using products that you will probably already have in the kitchen. If nothing else, they will make you sit down and relax for 10 minutes (and that has to be a bonus!).

FIGHT DANDRUFF

After shampooing, rinse your hair with vinegar and 2 cups of warm water.

HAIR CONDITIONERS

Egg Conditioner1 egg yolk1/2 tsp olive oil3/4 cup lukewarm waterBeat egg yolk until it is thick and light coloured. Slowly drizzle drops of oil into egg, beating well. Slowly add and beat the water into the egg mixture. Transfer mixture to a container. After shampooing, massage all conditioner into hair and leave on for a few minutes before thoroughly rinsing.

Protein Conditioner

Beat 1 egg white until foamy. Add to 5 tbsps plain natural yoghurt. Apply to hair in small sections at a time. Leave in for 15 minutes. Rinse.Vinegar ConditionerAdd a tablespoon of vinegar to dissolve sticky residue left by shampoo.

Washing and Drying Hair Tips:
Avoid over-washing your hair. If you can stand it, try not to wash your hair with shampoo every single day. For days that you do not wash your hair, apply a fragrant mist designed especially to refresh tresses.
Don’t apply shampoo directly to the top of your head. Apply shampoo from the nape of the neck first, and then work it through the rest of your hair.
Distribute cleansing and styling products evenly through your hair. When you apply conditioner, use a comb to spread the product evenly through your hair. Lessen trauma to your hair.
Try to avoid wrapping your hair in a towel and leaving it twisted up on your head for long. It may be convenient, but it can damage your hair.
Avoid blow-drying your hair everyday. Allow your hair to dry naturally whenever possible, whether you shower at night or let your hair dry over the weekend.

TIPS FOR CURLY HAIRS

Facts about Curly Hair
Curly hair is more susceptible to frizz. The best way of keeping hair frizz down is a light sprit of light hair spray, and when it gets dry, run your fingers through it. Not only does the hair spray hold nice zigzag parts, but it also cozies the frizzes to stay down.
Hair Care
1.Use a leave-in conditioner to make it easier to manage. Curly hair frizzes easily so this conditioner help prevents frizz.
2.For best result it should be combed. Don't use brush and if possible let it dry naturally.

Secrets to increase men's beauty

Men also has right to look good, younger, smart, handsome and dashing. To become all in one should follow these tips.

Since men have close to fifteen percent oilier skin than women, it is necessary for them to cleanse, tone and moisturize regularly to rid themselves of dirt; grime and environmental pollutants that can clog the skin and make it appear dull.

Sun protection through sensible, breathable clothing, sunglasses and use of an adequate SPF providing sunscreen is a very vital part of skincare for men and helps them look young and fresh. Sunscreen also provides a barrier to the harsh rays of the sun that can damage and cause wrinkles on facial skin and prolonged sun exposure can lead to skin cancer.

Men with oily skin need to opt for a soap-free cleanser that will not irritate the skin into further eruptions and gently clean out the surface of the skin. This should be followed by using an alcohol-free toner that will rejuvenate and cool the skin without disturbing the ph balance.

Since men have considerably rougher skin due to endless shaving and razor use, exfoliation is a must in their skin care regime, especially in warmer weather when revealing more skin. Skin care for men include products like exfoliating scrubs, sea sponges and loofahs that are very effective for doing away with extra rough skin on the elbows, knees and heels. However, the use of the same is not recommended for the face as scrubs can produce micro tears in the skin that can lead to uneven pigmentation upon sun exposure.

An ideal approach to skincare for men would include the use of a cleanser and/or moisturizer with an alpha-hydroxy acid, such as glycolic acid or lactic acid, which also exfoliate to and improve the skin's tone and texture.

A simple rule of thumb for most skin types of men would include a routine that follows Cleanse, Shave, Tone with Aftershave and moisturizer. For Oily skin types, the moisturizer can be given a miss. Those with heavy beards are advised to Cleanse, pre-shave, shave, tone, apply after shave and then moisturize and evening routine would be to cleanse and tone.

Tips to Care for Thinning Hair

APeople lose hair for various reasons. Illness and medication (like chemotherapy to treat cancer) can cause hair loss. Hair loss can also be inherited from a parent. Often, hair thins because it is fine-textured -- or because too many harsh chemicals have been used on it -- so it breaks easily.
These are hair-care tips to help protect hair, prevent further hair loss, and add volume to your existing hair.

1. Try Coloring

If you inherited a tendency for hair loss, you likely have very healthy hair overall. Therefore, your hair can benefit from permanent or semi-permanent color to give body and volume to hair.
Medications can weaken hair, causing it to break or fall out. Semi-permanent color is good in this case, too, because it does not contain ammonia or peroxide. It will not damage hair, but will give it body and volume.
If your hair is fine-textured, semi-permanent or permanent color is fine, as long as it is professionally applied. Colored hair can easily get over-processed, which damages it, causing further hair loss.

2. Use Volumizing Products

Many volume-building hair products contain paraffin, which is beeswax. That's not good for hair, because it builds up and can make hair break.
However, volumizing products sold in salons do help. They won't weigh hair down, and they won't damage it. Mousse, for example, can be applied at the root area for support. Then, begin blow-drying the root area, applying tension with a brush to build volume. Use a light finishing spray to hold it.

3. Shampoo and Condition Your Hair When Dirty

To protect hair, the best practice is to shampoo only when hair is dirty. Because fine hair gets dirty faster, people with fine-textured hair need to shampoo more frequently -- even though fine hair breaks more easily.
For that reason, fine-textured hair benefits from a good shampoo and volume-building conditioner.

4. Find a Style That Suits Fine Hair

Blow dryers should not be a problem, even if you have fine hair. However, be very careful about putting high heat directly onto hair. Flat irons and curling irons can cause damage and breakage.
Because they contain very strong chemicals, curl-relaxing products are a no-no for fine hair.

5. Get a Permanent Wave

Permanents can help give volume to fine-textured hair -- but hair must be healthy, not dry or brittle. Only a gentle body wave is advised, because tighter waves can damage the hair. Because chemicals in permanents are harsh, a permanent should be only a last resort for fine-haired people.
Again, make sure a professional stylist gives you your permanent, so that hair is not damaged.

Dusky complextion Make-up

It is always a repetition that any skin, which is healthy and clear, can look beautiful. With a flawless and healthy skin, the dark skinned girl can replace the Indian fascination for "fair" skin with the idea that "brown is beautiful".

Here are some of the important tips for the make-up of the dark skinned women.........

Foundation color for dark skin
A good foundation is the key to clever make-up for a dark complexioned woman. By 'foundation', it refers to the base of your make-up.
Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin, then apply the concealer, foundation, and the powder to create a smooth base - you can then apply choose a suitable colour for a blush followed by eye make up and lipstick to complete the task.
Choose a creamy or liquid foundation, but one that is not oily. Its always better to use a water based foundation. If there is a lot of yellow pigmentation in the skin, use a product that is not orange based. A sheer foundation and a good concealer are musts for creating the illusion of perfect skin. The foundation should not be lighter than your skin tone.

Powder color for dark skin
Use a light baby powder after the foundation. This helps to give the skin a sheen and is not too heavy. Avoid applying too much powder, specially around the eyes. Always dust off the excess powder.

Blusher color for dark skin
For your blush, you should choose colours from coral, rose, deep orange. Avoid browns and peachy shades for blush-on. For very dark skin, try a dark rose pink colour for the day and shades of bronze, plum and wine for the nightBlend the blusher over the cheekbones, as it helps to brighten the skin tone. For special occasions at night, use a touch of gold. It can really look glamorous on dark skins. Apply it at the temples and under the outer corner of the eyebrows

Eye makeup for dark and dusky complexion
Dark skin tone looks great with dark purple and blue colors on eyes. Dark metallic colors also look good. Silver around your eye will make them stand out and look brilliant. Finish your eyes with black eyeliner and black mascara. If you wish to use eyeshadow, avoid white or very light colours. A gold eye shadow would be complimentary where as a silver one may not look good. Can be very effective on dark skins when used on the bridge of the nose, around the eye area, above the cheek bones and just above the upper lip.

Makeup For Working Women

In today's busy world many women are finding it hard, to have the time to look their best, but they must still look professional and make-up does make a big difference. But, how you can find the time to apply your makeup, cook breakfast, send your husband off to work, get the kids off to school and drop some off at daycare. This is not an easy feat for most women. But, I believe this makeup application tip will aid you in getting yourself ready and still be able to handle what ever is on your plate for the day.
First, a beauty makeup tip would be to purchase these items, a good moisturizer, and an easy to apply foundation, eye shadow, eye concealer, blush, and mascara. That's it.

Now, for the quick makeup application tip. First, if you can do without foundation, skip it. Do not forget the moisturizer; your skin needs the extra moisture. If you cannot do without the foundation, the quickest way to apply the foundation is to dot your forehead, chin, nose and cheeks. Now, with a sponge or a tad damp cloth smooth the foundation until it is blended completely on your face. Pay close to attention to your hairline, chin and jaw line.
The next beauty makeup tip is to use only one color eye shadow. The best eye makeup tip is to check and see if you have dark circles, they do appear from time to time and then you must apply an eye concealer.

For quick eye makeup use eye liner.Put mascara to your eye lashes. Here eye makeup ends.
The next beauty makeup tip is to apply just a bit of blush on your cheekbones and brush toward your ears. Apply a tad of lipstick and you are out the door and ready for anything.

These tips saves lot of your time, and will complete within 5min once you are in practice.
